In part, he writes: <span style="color: #003366;"><em>"I pray that on this Pentecost all of us will open ourselves to the coming of the Holy Spirit; that we will not simply recite by rote: 'O Heavenly King, the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth, Who art everywhere present and fillest all things; Treasury of blessings and Giver of life:&nbsp; Come and abide in us, and cleanse us from every impurity, and save our souls, O Good One.' Rather, as we offer this prayer, may we fervently entreat the Holy Spirit to permeate our very being &ndash; and enable us to be changed into even better Orthodox Christians. May He guide us to know Christ ever more richly, serve Him ever more faithfully, and become each day ever more and more like the One Who loves us more than we love ourselves."</em></span></span></p> <p style="text-align: right;"><a href="/files/2015/Archpastoral-Letters/Pentecost_2015_Archpastoral_Letter.pdf" target="_blank"><strong><span style="color: #008000; font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: medium;">read the Archpastoral Letter &gt;</span></strong></a></p></div> Diocese of New York-New Jersey http://www.nynjoca.org/news_150529_1.html 2015 CHRISTIAN EDUCATION CONFERENCE http://www.nynjoca.org/news_150523_1.html Sat, 23 May 2015 00:00:00 -0400 <div><img border="0" hspace="5" vspace="0" align="left" src="http://www.nynjoca.org/display_image.php?ext=jpg&relativeimage=images/clipart/2014_Church_Sch_Conf_BANNER.jpg&archive=0&final_h=44&final_w=90&percent=100"><p style="text-align: justify; line-height: 170%; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"><span style="color: #000000; font-family: times new roman, times; font-size: medium;">Clergy, Church School Directors, teachers, and parents are invited to the <span style="color: #0000ff;"><strong>2015 Annual Diocesan Department of Christian Education Conference</strong></span>.
