This workshop, on November 6th in West Nyack NY, will explore the ministry of song and the worshipping community.  Topics include: The choir and congregation in the development of the Eucharistic Liturgy, psalmody and the antiphonal structure, the Trisagion and the Cherubic Hymns, and the Rite of Communion.  The Workshop is appropriate for any Orthodox choir member desiring to help improve the quality of music in worship. You will be inspired, edified and have a wonderful time. Content includes solo chanting; small/large choir; congregational singing; vocal production; clarity of pronunciation; choral blend; and new music -- numerous beautiful new pieces are used as a backdrop for teaching.  Pre-registration is essential.
