St. Andrew's Camp Announces Young Adult Retreat

As Orthodox Christian young adults raised in the faith or have converted, we are acutely aware of the differences between our mindset and the prevailing ethos of the world around us and the challenges we can face in maintaining an Orthodox lifestyle. At the same time, they are beset by the temptations of worldliness. In music, social media, news, the internet, and conversations with friends, family, and co-workers, we often feel the pull of an unbalanced influence that threatens our spiritual peace and commitment to Christ. Whether we are converts who struggle to leave our former spiritually unprofitable habits and hobbies behind us, or we were raised in the faith and want to maintain our Orthodox phronema or reclaim our love of and commitment to God after going astray- there are common challenges that we all face every day. As Orthodoxy continues to grow in the United States, one way we can face these challenges is to build strong bonds and friendships with our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ and create opportunities to meet each other in an immersive setting where we can pray together, discuss topics and share our stories and struggles, and offer support and encouragement to each other as we progress on our journeys toward salvation. St. Andrew's Camp & Retreat Center's historical quality and naturally beautiful setting on the north shore of Lake Oneida in Jewell, NY, is an ideal place to experience this feeling of brotherhood and sisterhood and to forge lasting friendships that will endure beyond the duration of this weekend retreat. We hope you will join us this May!
