On 21 January 2018, Archbishop Michael visited Saint Martin's Orthodox Chapel at West Point Military Academy and presented a Synodal Gramota to Archpriest Joseph Frawley in recognition of his 40 years of priesthood, 20 years as chaplain at West Point, his work at the Orthodox Church in America’s Department of History and Archives, and his work on the lives of the saints. His Eminence also brought a new antimension for the altar containing the relics of the Holy New Martyr Saint Hilarion Troitsky (+1929).
