Archbishop Michael Visits Holy Apostles Mission in Lansing, NY

On the weekend of May 2–3, 2026, His Eminence Archbishop Michael made an archpastoral visit to Holy Apostles Orthodox Mission in Lansing, NY. On Saturday evening, Vladyka joined the faithful for the celebration of Great Vespers and a Moleben to the Holy Apostles, offering special prayers for the mission’s ongoing land search and future church building project. Following a light meal, Archbishop Michael met with members of the Parish Council and Building Committee to discuss several promising developments regarding the property search.

The celebration continued on Sunday with a record attendance of 102 faithful at the Divine Liturgy, including members of the Cornell Orthodox Christian Fellowship and many children. During the service, Reader Nikolaos Demetriades was elevated to the rank of Subdeacon, and Fr. Joel Brady was awarded the right to wear the gold cross in recognition of his faithful service. Following the Liturgy, clergy and faithful gathered at the Lansing Community Center for a joyful festive potluck meal and fellowship.
