Consecration
Saint Gregory Palamas Church

A momentous occasion took place on Sunday, 2 June, as the altar and church building of Saint Gregory Palamas Orthodox Church in Glen Gardner NJ were consecrated. After more than thirty years of worshipping in a variety of temporary locations the parish, comprised of Orthodox Christians of various backgrounds, successfully paid-off the mortgage on their property in 2012.  The church is a former Methodist church dating to the mid-19th century. With a church home financially secured, the parish ... under the leadership of the acting rector, Hieromonk Kilian (Sprecher) ... was able to petition His Grace, Bishop Michael to consecrate the church building, the new altar, and holy vessels.
