The 19th All-American Council of the Orthodox Church in America, of which our Diocese is a part, convenes in St. Louis MO for its triennial gathering of hierarchs along with clergy and laity delegates representing all parishes and institutions. Traditionally referred to as a “Sobor,” the Council embraces the diversity of persons within the Body of Christ while manifesting the Apostolic unity of faith in the All-Holy Trinity: Father, Son, Holy Spirit. The Council will be a manifestation of the Church as the community of worship, in the fullness of Orthodoxy, seeking to discern the will of God regarding various spiritual and administrative deliberations and decisions. The theme of the Council is: "For the Life of the World."
