On 2 February 2019, Archbishop Michael visited Saint Vladimir Church in Trenton NJ to celebrate the Feast-Day of the Meeting of the Lord. During the festal Divine Liturgy, His Eminence ordained Bohdan Chaikivskyi to the Holy Diaconate. “Many Years” to newly-ordained Deacon Bohdan!

Joining His Eminence were several diocesan clergy including, among others: Deacon Bohdan's brother, Father Volodymyr (Parish Rector); and their uncle, Father Maryon Chaykivsky (Rector, Saint Spiridon Church, Perth Amboy NJ).

Deacon Bohdan and his wife, Matushka Irina, will spend the next several months in his homeland of Ukraine, but they plan to return in the fall to complete studies here.

After the liturgy, Archbishop Michael blessed the newly installed handicap lift at the back of the church.  Everyone proceeded to the parish fellowship hall for a celebratory luncheon in Deacon Bohdan's honor.
