"PROJECT PEARL RIVER"
On Monday, 22 July 2019, the interior walls and ceilings of the Church of the Holy Transfiguration in Pearl River NY will begin a week-long process of receiving a cleaning and some fresh paint. The cleaning and painting will be done by volunteers from throughout the New Jersey Deanery and our Diocese under the name “Project Pearl River.” Archbishop Michael has blessed this effort as a way to help a diocesan parish beautify its temple in an affordable and collaborative way.
Help is needed from all diocesan clergy, parishioners and friends in order for this project to be a success.
Help can come in the form of manual labor or monetary donations.
If you can clean and paint, please contact Archimandrite Joseph (Hoffman) at fr.joseph@holytransf.org or (845) 548-3170.
If you can donate, please make checks out to the “Diocese of New York and New Jersey” with a memo saying “Project Pearl River.” Donations should be mailed to: Diocese of New York & New Jersey, PO Box 325, Lake Hiawatha NJ 07034
