On December 31, 2019, and January 1, 2020, His Eminence Archbishop Michael visited Saint Basil Church in Watervliet, NY to celebrate parish's patronal feast. On January 1st, 2020, the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy was celebrated at Saints Basil's Church. Concelebrating with His Eminence Archbishop Michael were Very Rev. Peter Olsen the parish rector, Very Rev. Alexey Karlgut the dean of New York State Deanery, Fr. Matthew Markewich the rector of Christ the Savior Church in Ballston Lake, NY, decons Stephan Karlgut and Paul Fedoroff.
