On Saturday, May 13, 2023, His Eminence Archbishop MICHAEL attended the enthronement of His Eminence, Metropolitan SABA of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of America, at Saint Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral in Brooklyn, New York. Dozens of hierarchs and clergy from the various Orthodox jurisdictions of North America, several other guest bishops and clergy members, together with hundreds of faithful, joined in prayer and fellowship as Metropolitan Saba assumed leadership of the Antiochian Archdiocese.

Greeting the newly-enthroned Metropolitan on behalf of St. Tikhon’s Seminary as its Rector, and on behalf of the Diocese of New York and New Jersey as its Archbishop, Vladyka Michael invited Metropolitan Saba to come and visit his students, and address all the student body, at St. Tikhon’s Seminary; and Archbishop Michael pledged the cooperation of the Diocese of New York and New Jersey in any way possible, in order to continue building a strong, shared Orthodox witness in our land.

May God protect and preserve His servant, His Eminence, Metropolitan SABA, for many blessed years! “Eis polla eti, Despota!”
