Immersive Religious Education at St. Andrew's Camp: Bringing the Lives of Saints to Life

One of the things that makes St. Andrew’s Camp exceptional is its outstanding Religious Education program. This summer, the classes have focused on the lives of the saints. These saints and their stories have come to life for campers who have participated in fun and engaging reenactments of their lives. Following are photos of just one of these wonderful classes. In this class, campers learned about St. Mary of Egypt. But they did much more than just listen to facts about her life. They all had a chance to “walk on water,” an activity that they’ll likely never forget and, therefore, will remember how St. Mary of Egypt walked on the river Jordan to receive communion. This was followed by reenactments of her burial by a lion, which is also sure to leave a lasting impression on the campers.

If you or someone you know is interested in experiencing marvelous things like this and all the other amazing and fun activities at St. Andrew’s Camp, there is still space for about 10 more campers in Horse Week 2 (July 21 – 27). There is also still some availability in the Teen Weeks (July 28 – August 3 and August 4 – 10). Please visit St. Andrew’s Camp's Website (https://saintandrewscamp.org/) for more information.
