[Jackson, NJ] - The faithful of St. Mary’s Orthodox Church in Jackson, NJ were blessed to welcome His Eminence, Archbishop Michael, for an Archpastoral visit on the weekend of November 15–16, 2025. The visit brought together clergy, parishioners, and friends for a beautiful time of prayer, fellowship, and thanksgiving.
The weekend began on Saturday evening with Great Vespers, served by Archpriest John Prokopiuk and Protodeacon John Suchernick. After the service, the parish family gathered for a warm and festive meal prepared by Matushka Ludmila and the Sisterhood, whose hospitality helped set a joyful tone for the entire visit.
On Sunday morning, November 16, Archbishop Michael presided at the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy. Serving with His Eminence were Archpriest Samuel Kedela, Archpriest John Prokopiuk, Protodeacon John Morvay, and Protodeacon John Suchernick. They were assisted in the altar by Subdeacon Mark Federoff, Subdeacon Andrew Karlgut, and altar server Oleg Yatsuk. The prayers of the Liturgy, together with Archbishop Michael’s presence and guidance, offered encouragement and uplifted the hearts of all who gathered.
Following the service, the parish again enjoyed a festive meal lovingly prepared by Matushka Ludmila and the Sisterhood. Their dedication added warmth and beauty to the celebration, making the visit especially memorable for everyone present.
As many parishioners expressed, “The Archbishop’s visit was truly a day the Lord has made, and we are grateful that he took time from his busy schedule to be with the faithful of Jackson.”
